yes, that's true and should not be seen as broken.
the poi-type table is currently created from the available icons in the icon 
directories. so every poi-type, which hasn't yet an icon, is represented by 
an empty icon file.
in gpsdrive this is not a problem, because it will use the next higher icon in 
the hierarchy if there's is one not available or nor in png format.
