usb-receivers should be no problem, if you are doing, as joerg wrote.
but I never tried a bluetooth gps.


one other thing comes to my mind, joerg:
as almost all gps-receivers should work more or less with gpsd, is the built 
in serial support in gpsdrive still needed, or could it be removed?
