[ gpsdrive ] Geometry
Hi All,
I have the command line geometry working using the command line option -g, I
will add --geometry before sending the changes.
However just a couple of things before I send the changes.
It actually sets the size of the map area rather than the complete main window.
This is as a result of the way that the gpsdrive map area was set up originally
as it controls the rest of the window size.
I don't feel the need to change this as it works very well, ie you set the map
to the size you want and then all the rest of the window is generated arround
it. To get an almost full screen map you need to use pda mode, this then has a
large map and the tabs across the top for map, menu and status.
However there are some other issues that this creates
In position mode, if you have a 1280x1024 screen and generate a full screen map
in pda mode, it's not possible to move from one map to another when you click
near the edge of the map. I know where the problem is and can fix it when I
have some more spare time.
In non pda mode if you use a map size similar to your screen resolution the menu
and status areas tend to get squashed. Once again this is as a result of how
the original initalization setup was done, I can fix it but it will just take time.
Finally the -s and -r command line options still work but not if you specify a
geometry as well. gpsdrive will still use it's automatic settings if there is
no geometry or -s on the command line.
Regards
Ross
